Home Fragrance: An Essential Element

Updated: May 9, 2021

Home fragrance is an essential detail to create a nice ambiance in your home. To me, the comfort of my home is very important. A home’s smell is just as bit important as its look. Room fragrance is a part of my own everyday life.

When you walk into any space, the first thing that you will notice about a room is the smell. You can enhance the room’s smell in many different ways. You can use candles, sprays, diffusers or many other things. My personal favourite is the essential oil diffuser. My 400ml diffuser runs throughout most of the day in my living room.

An essential oils diffuser makes an amazing addition to any home. It helps to elevate the mood instantly and make your home feel heavenly. It’s the finishing touch to making your house feel more like home!

Essential oils are basically plant extracts. They are made by steaming or pressing various parts of the plant ( flowers, bark, leaves, or fruits).

I start my day turning on my diffuser and my morning feels so refreshing. I use them in our living room, home office, bedroom, kitchen, and bathrooms. Fragrance throughout the home can really help to transform and enhance any living space.

The right scent allows us to express our individuality. It is something that is very personal to the individual. It’s a very personal choice, different people prefer different smells.

  • For my living room and bedroom, I use ‘White Tea’. It’s a sweet floral scent. It’s our favorite fragrance. We have a sentimental attachment to it because it reminds us of our first anniversary. It’s used in high-end luxury resorts here in Singapore.

  • For our home office, we use rosemary. It’s good for memory retention and concentration.

  • For my bathroom, I use peppermint and sweet citrus-y scents. I use a room mist or reed diffuser for the bathroom mostly. Peppermint and citrus-y aromas make any bathroom feel very fresh, clean and pleasant.

  • For our kitchen, we use lemongrass. It’s a fresh grassy scent. We hate the kitchen odour after cooking. So, I always burn scented candles in a freshly cleaned up kitchen and spray fresh lemongrass mist. It immediately feels so fresh and cozy!

I have a cordless diffuser and it’s a game-changer! I can walk through my entire house with it and can easily place it wherever needed. This wireless diffuser literally takes things to the next level!

Remember, it doesn’t matter how luxe your home looks, if it smells bad, it feels bad. So make sure your house always smells nice. Cheers!
